Purpley Flowers

This card is one of those cards that looks so simple but took me hours to do.

Well technically it didn't take me hours to make it, just hours to decide what to do. I stamped the flowers and leaves from Altnew Henna Elements and stuck it onto a circle piece of card I had cut out of a background I had made. Why is it when you never have the right background paper that you want. I wanted to add a background paper to it but could not find the right one. I finally decided not to bother and added a pearlised piece of purple paper to the side and decided to leave the back white.

Anniversary Card

I made this card for one of my mums friends Wedding Anniversary.

I used the Avocado Arts Forever Yours Stamp set for the champagne glasses and heart, with the sentiment from woodware stamp. I stamped them onto pearlised card and matted onto pearlised red card.

Experimentation

I have been experimenting with Brushos and mica powders. I mixed some colours of Brushos up in a small spray bottle along with mica powders. I was surprised how shimmery this turned out. you can't see it in the photo but you can see the shimmer in real life.

Once dry I ran it through an embossing folder. I stamped some flowers from the henna elements (love this set) and die cut a hummingbird.

70th Birthday!

I have made this card for my Aunties 70th Birthday.

I used Altnew Henna Elements stamp set for the flowers and leaves. I  coloured them in using promarkers (I forgot to check which colours). I then matted and layered some white card onto purple and stuck this down on a blank card. I then printed the sentiment using Craft Artist and also matted and layed onto purple card and onto the card. I am quite pleased with how this card turned out.

Crackle Paint

I was Ali Reeve making a crackle paint on Thursday on Create and Craft using Corn Flour and Chalk Paint. She has also made it with Gesso. I loved the crackle effect but don't have any chalk paint or gesso so decided to see if I could get the same effect using paints I did have. I tried Acrylic and Emulsion.

This is the Acrylic and as you can see whilst it cracked it was only slight. If you want a slight one this is good.

This one is done with Emulsion and provided a great crackle effect. Will definitely be using again.
